If you want to make a change in your career, you’ve wandered to the right place.

As a career changer myself, I know what it takes to transform a bill-paying job into a career calling. From auditing to clearing samples for the largest music labels and artists, and now coaching soul-clients every day, my mission is to help you build a life and career you’re proud of.

There may be some big questions on your mind…
  • “What should I do with my life?”
  • “How do I pick the best career path for me?”
  • “Is it possible to make money doing something I love?”
  • “I know what I want, but how do I get there?”
  • “How do I tell my story?”

You’re in luck!
These are questions
I eat for breakfast.

My Story

I am a coach, writer, and entrepreneur. My specialty is helping mid-career leaders and creators envision an inspiring future, clarify their next step, and build a strategic and focused roadmap to achieve it.

After an intense, successful, and enlightening career (and lifestyle) change, I decided to dedicate the rest of my life leading by example and helping others design an optimal life and career. I’ve worked at major firms like BDO USA, LLP, corporations like Warner Music Group, as well as small businesses.

I created the Quarter Life Joy Method in 2014 and leaped into full-time entrepreneurship in 2015. Since then, I have coached over a thousand leaders and creators in 21 countries, including 146 cities and 34 states in the United States.

My writing has been published on The Muse, Forbes, Time, and I have been featured on platforms such as New York Times, Refinery29, and Inc. I have also led over 80 workshops for campuses or corporations like General Assembly, Shift Beyond Work, and SS&C Advent.

I love being outdoors.
I think nature is the greatest gift the world gave us. I try to connect with nature every day.

I have been boxing for 4 years
and I love the feeling of hitting pads (not people).

I am allergic to seafood,
except for lobster and oysters. Is it coincidence I can only eat fancy seafood?

I have a dog named Winston,
who you may occasionally see lazying around behind me on a video coaching call!

You May Be Wondering, ‘Why Joy’?

Well, first of all, I am a career changer.

When I graduated with a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley, I signed a great offer with a well-respected firm in San Francisco. As an Associate Auditor, my job was to conduct operational, financial, process and systems audits for a diverse range of over 20 companies. I learned about and worked closely with start ups, hospitality companies, advertising agencies, semi conductor companies, and so much more.

There was just one small problem…

It wasn’t right for me. The combination of the day-to-day environment, the industry, the community, the growth path, and the skills I would need to master in order to succeed in the career path, left me feeling particularly empty and unnatural. I was miserable playing the part of someone I knew I wasn’t.

At the same time, I didn’t know what else I wanted to do.

So, I decided to master the career change process.

I was determined to figure out how to understand myself better, explore different career options in the market, and pivot my way into a career path I would enjoy and be good at. If I could do this, I could gain a sense of direction and ownership over my life. Although I knew my decision would be met with disapproval from some family and friends, I also knew I didn’t want to live my life based on the values and thinking of other people. I decided to believe in myself.

After a successful transition into the music industry and 5 enriching years later, I started to hit a plateau in my career as I noticed my own limitations in the industry. I began to contemplate the idea of making a bigger difference in my work by building and utilizing skills that were more aligned to my long-term goals.

I made a list of all the skills I wanted to learn and develop over the next 20 years, and I noticed that none of them were the skills I was utilizing on a daily basis. They included: Writing, Coaching, Psychology, Mindfulness, Blogging, Facilitation, Video Editing, Public Speaking…

I realized that I had a deep passion around the concept of career change, human development, and building a life of fulfillment.

So, I started a blog about personal and career development and started writing and pitching articles to platforms like The Muse and Career Contessa. Through consistent effort, I found an unexpected steady stream of people messaging me about their own careers. As I listened to their biggest goals and challenges, I found myself building coaching programs over the weekend and in the evenings after work.

Which leads me to creating…

The Quarter Life Joy Method

Career Transformation is the gateway to Personal Transformation.

“It’s more than just a job or career. You want to live your best life.”

Quarter Life Joy /ˈkwôrdər līf joi/ noun

The process of taking ownership of transitions in our professional and personal life.  It is the process of using the momentum of change to challenge, break down, and design a life on stronger foundations.  The Quarter Life Joy process utilizes mixed methods of coaching, strategic planning, and mindset to empower you to create the life and the impact you envision.

You are not alone and you don’t have to do this alone.

Why you can trust me:

  • I’m experienced. I have coached over a thousand people through my private and group coaching programs all over the world.
  • I walk my talk. I’ve personally developed, tested, and executed all of the skills, strategies, and processes for my own career transitions.
  • I am a student. I practice life-long learning about how to optimize and create alignment in our life. I have invested in courses, training, books, conferences, and high end coaching to develop myself and the Quarter Life Joy method.
  • I’m committed. I am 100% committed to my clients success and will only work with you if you are ready to commit fully to yourself as well.
  • The proof is in the pudding! If there’s any doubt, read real reviews from professionals across The Muse, General Assembly, and my own programs on what their experience was like working with me.
